Admittedly a headline more likely to have shown up during the Clinton administration, but strippers at Deja Vu in Nashville, Tennessee helped the Secret Service nab a counterfeiter in April. Super genius Damon Armagost spent $600 of fake $100 bills on lap dances. The suspicious dancers called police, who confronted Armagost. Armagost initially told the police that he got the fake money when he sold some gold coins to an unidentified person for $1400.
Secret Service agents determined that counterfit bills with the same serial number had been passed in other parts of the country, and family members of Armagost told agents that an image of a $100 bill had been on a computer in their home. Armagost then admitted to downloading the image and printing 14 fake bills.
