Greatest Product Ever?

There are currently over 50 blogs that we have in our subscription list to check on a somewhat regular basis. One of the more frequent blogs we visit is called Get Rich Slowly, a blog about financial responsibility and stuff like that. Because, well, we want to be rich someday.

But we never really expected to link to it from this blog. But today, to our surprise, they discussed a product that they found that we think is worthy of writing about, and probably worth trying: Bacon Salt.

Hooters Best Damn Dream Girl

Thanks to regular reader Sir Whoopass for sending along this link to the Hooters Best Damn Dream Girl competition on the “Best” Damn Sports Show Period (we refuse to link to it, and to acknowledge it as the best–although compared to anything on ESPN these days, even a show featuring Chris Rose may be able to win the title, if we ever actually bothered to rate them all).

PETA Isn’t Finger Lickin’ Good

In news much more amusing to us than a hockey player getting his neck cut during a game, PETA is opposing a recent proposed bill in Kentucky that would name KFC as the state’s “Offical Picnic Food.”

Proposed by State Representative Charles Siler, the bill is aimed to recognize that KFC has brought worldwide attention and economic benefit to the state since first served by Colonel Harland Sanders in 1940. Today the chain has 11,000 restaurants in 80 countries.

New Hockey Injury Added–Richard Zednik

If you’re one of the loyal Manlyweb readers (you lucky few), you probably already know that we have a Sports Injury section of the site, which we try to update with some regularity. Well, we thought we’d pass along the latest update–Richard Zednick, who plays for the Florida Panthers (hoc-key?), had his neck sliced last night during their game in Buffalo.

Fortunately Zednik is apparently in stable condition (if he wasn’t, I’m not sure we’d even be crass enough to put up the video), and the video isn’t nearly as graphic as the Clint Malarchuk neck injury. … more>>
