A lawyer in DeKalb, Illinois, was suspended for 15-months for misconduct this past week by the The Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission, simply for harkening back to the days of yesterday, and utilizing the barter system with one of his clients to cover part of her bill.
The lawyer and his client agreed that they would trade professional services–so, she got some lawyering done for her, and he got some lap dancing done for him.
It was a win-win situation, until she claimed that he inappropriately touched her during the dances, and went to police. No charges were filed, but six years later, he gets suspended.
As a side note, if there are any strippers out there who need some Web site work done…
