Hugh Hefner Files for Divorce

More than 10 years after separating from wife Kimberly Conrad Hefner, Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has filed for divorce.

Hefner is asking a judge to order him to pay $20,000 per month in spousal support–half what he is currently paying–for two years, or until a divorce trial can be completed.

With the launch of the 3.0 iPhone from Apple comes an important development in the long term future of the medium–the ability to download a porn application (yes, there finally is an app for that).

Previous versions of the iPhone did not allow pornographic material, going so far as to block an app that allowed for book downloads because it could be used to download the Kama Sutra.

Hefner to Sell Mansion…next to Playboy Mansion

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has listed his Los Angeles mansion for sale for $28-million dollars.  But before you go breaking your piggy bank to count your pennies and dreaming of fun in the grotto, be aware that it’s not THAT mansion–it’s the house next door, which he bought in 1998.

The house, which is a 7,300-square foot English manor home, was built in 1929, and has been home to Hefner’s estranged wife Kimberly and their two sons.  It sits on a 2.3 acre lot, and features 5 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, a library and a hand-carved staircase.

Bailout Plan We Can Get Our Hands Around

First it was the banks.  Then it was the automobiles.  Next up, finally an industry wants a bailout that we can support–the porn industry.  Led by Hustler publisher Larry Flynt and Girls Gone Wild CEO Joe Francis, the adult entertainment industry will apparently request that Congress pass a $5 billion bailout package.

Flynt and Francis concede the industry itself is in no danger–while DVD sales have slipped over the past year, Web traffic has continued to grow.  But, they apparently beleive that Americans are depressed due to the economic news–and therefore, we need even more porn to cheer us up.… more>>

Moviegoer Shoots Man on Cell Phone

In a case of “I don’t condone it, but I understand it” (or as a local radio station said, it fits Chris Rock’s take on OJ Simpson of “Not saying [he should have done it]…but I understand”), a movie patron in Philadelphia got fed up with a man talking loudly on his cell phone during the movie, so he pulled his gun and shot him in the arm.

Man Rams Playboy Gates

A Ventura County man was arrested last week after ramming his car into the gates of the Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills.  After his release, he went back and did it again–but escaped before police could arrive.  No word on whether Hugh Hefner and his girlfriends were home at the time.  Detectives believe the incident was related to an ongoing dispute–no word on whether it was related to the man’s failure to secure an invite to a party, or perhaps their continuing futile efforts to help keep Pamela Anderson’s career relevant.
