Minnesota Vikings defensive back/punt returner Charles Gordon suffered a gruesome ankle injury on November 9th, 2008, returning a punt against the Green Bay Packers.
Gordeon, a 3rd year player out of Kansas, had planted his left leg to change direction when a Packers player rolled up his leg, folding the ankle under. Gordon, in obvious pain, laid on the turk in a way that reminded us a bit of this Destry Wright ankle injury.
Gordon had to be lifted onto the cart to be taken off the field, and was in obvious pain. YouTube videos (and screen grabs, since who knows if they’ll stay up on YouTube) are below.
