Track Injuries

Special thanks to Billy Ramirez, who sent along an update on this image, and a link to the second (color) image below. Apparently this is Llewellyn Starks, and he was competing at the New York Games in 1992 when the shots below were taken. Although not readily apparent in the black and white shot, absed on the color one, we’d say he was in the long jump, maybe? Regardless, still looks damn painful.
